CONTROLLER GENERAL OF ACCOUNTS

Newsletter’ giving kaleidoscopic glimpses of different aspects of the organization was released by Shri Jawahar Thakur, Controller General of Accounts on August 3, 2012 in the ‘SWASTI’ conference hall amidst officers of Controller General of Accounts, Central Pension Accounting Office and the Institute of Government of Accounts and Finance. The initiative and the efforts of the team were lauded by CGA. While addressing officers, he encouraged them to actively participate and share their accomplishments through the newsletter.

Shri Thakur said that soon the office of CGA would be launching a biennial Journal on subjects related to Finance and Management. He expressed that the need of the hour is to have more publications which provide a platform to officers to disseminate professional experiences and knowledge attained over the years.

After the launch of the newsletter, deliberations on capacity building were initiated by the chair. Before, opening the floor for discussions, he aired his opinion that officers are our most important asset and that he would be initiating steps to see that both the senior and middle level officers are adequately trained at national and international levels. He said that a well-trained, professional and motivated team is necessary for a vibrant, forward looking organization such as ours.
